The Award is open to young composers (each, an “Entrant”) who have not reached their 30th birthday by the application deadline. Open to composers of original, classical concert music, the Award encourages developing music creators during the earliest stages of their careers. T he winning composition will be performed by the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir at its annual Festival of Carols, Indianapolis, IN. Text and language are at the discretion of the composer and should be suitable for a Christmas/holiday performance.
